BREATHE Dog Owner’s Policy 2026
-
BREATHE loves animals of all kinds and honors the deep relationship our community members share with their animal companions. In order to maintain an atmosphere of peace and respect for the land, the Deerfields infrastructure, and the broader BREATHE community, we have implemented a dog policy for the festival.
-
While we love animals of all kinds, we strongly discourage bringing your dog to BREATHE. Festivals can be overwhelming environments for animals, with loud music, large crowds, and unfamiliar surroundings.
-
If you must bring your dog, you must purchase a Dog Ticket for $120 (while supplies last). By purchasing this ticket and bringing your dog onto the property, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
-
Dog Capacity
-
Dog tickets are limited and may sell out. Dogs without a registered dog ticket may not be allowed on the property.
Terms & Conditions
-
Dog owners agree to abide by the following:
-
Waste Responsibility
-
Dog waste must be picked up immediately and disposed of properly. Any owner who neglects to pick up waste may be subject to their dog being removed from the property.
-
Leash Requirement
-
Dogs must be leashed and under the direct control of their owner at all times. Unleashed dogs can pose risks to people, wildlife, and other animals.
-
Lost or Unattended Dogs
-
Unattended or roaming dogs may be scanned for a microchip and best efforts will be made to contact the owner. If the owner cannot be located in a reasonable amount of time, the dog may be transferred to a nearby boarding facility at the owner’s expense.
-
Disturbing the Peace
-
Animals causing a nuisance are prohibited. This includes frequent or habitual barking, howling, yelping, screeching, or other behavior that causes significant disturbance to other participants.
-
Dog Bites or Incidents
-
Any dog bite or animal-related incident must be immediately reported to event security and medical staff. Dog owners assume full responsibility and liability for any injury or damage caused by their animal while on the property. This policy is governed by applicable North Carolina laws regarding animal ownership and liability.
-
Animal Welfare
-
It is unlawful for anyone to commit or knowingly allow any act of cruelty to an animal. Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog has appropriate shelter, water, rest, and safety throughout the event.
-
Vaccination Requirement
-
All dogs must be current on rabies vaccination as required by North Carolina law. Proof of vaccination may be requested.
Removal from the Event
-
If you and/or your dog are unable to follow this policy while onsite, you may be asked to leave the property and/or make alternate arrangements for the dog (such as boarding) for the remainder of the festival.
